The Philadelphia Eagles offered Jordan Howard and a mid-round pick swap to the Los Angeles Chargers for Melvin Gordon.
The Chargers rejected the offer as they would have been also required to pay a portion of Gordon's salary.
Philadelphia acquired Howard from the Bears this offseason in exchange for a 2020 sixth-round pick.
Philadelphia's proposed deal was "more of a conceptual conversation."
