The San Francisco 49ers defeated the Green Bay Packers by a final score of 34-28 in a game where the two teams combined for over 700 yards receiving.

The 49ers had an edge of +2.9 in The Trench Counter, outgaining the Packers 10.4-8.7 in yards per pass while forcing two turnovers. San Francisco had a +21 edge in Total Rushes/Completions.

The Packers held Colin Kaepernick to just 22 yards on seven attempts after he ran all over them in last year's playoffs, but he went 27-for-39 for 412 yards and three touchdowns. 

Anquan Boldin, acquired by the 49ers from the Baltimore Ravens for a sixth round pick, caught 13 balls for 208 yards and one touchdowns.

Aaron Rodgers completed 21 of his 37 attempts for three touchdowns, but he had an interception and couldn't quite find his rhythm. Jordy Nelson caught seven balls for 130 yards and a touchdown, while Randall Cobb had seven receptions for 108 yards.
