Welker, Patriots Fail To Reach Agreement
Oct 31, 2014 8:27 AM
The Patriots and wide receiver Wes Welker failed to reach an agreement on a long-term contract before Monday afternoon's deadline, according to a source.
Welker has already signed his franchise tender with New England.
Without a new deal, Welker will earn a guaranteed $9.5 million in 2012. If the Patriots decline to tag him next year, he becomes an unrestricted free agent.
