Forte Considers Sitting Out Preseason Games If He Doesn't Get Contract

Bears running back Matt Forte may sit out exhibition games this month if he doesn't receive a new contract from the team.
Chicago general manager Jerry Angelo said there is no timetable for the Bears to complete a contract extension for Forte.
Sitting out the preseason games would prevent Forte from suffering an injury that could hurt his value.
"I've considered not playing in the preseason games," Forte told The Chicago Tribune. "But just to make that a fact, and say 'I'm not going to,' I haven't gotten there yet."
