The city of Indianapolis could stand to lose as much as $200 million if a work stoppage in the NFL cancels next February's Super Bowl. Still, the city is optimistic that the play will be played. "We absolutely mean what we've been saying and that is we believe common sense will prevail," 2012 host committee chairman Mark Miles said. "If there is a lockout or any other scenario, we're going to try and block that out and have blinders on because we believe we're going to have a game in 2012." Ball State professor Michael Hicks believes the city would lose $200 million, but some have put the number as high as $400 million.
