In a sloppy game throughout, Clay Matthews and the Green Bay Packers overwhelmed Jay Cutler and the Chicago Bears on their way to a 23-10 win at Lambeau Field.

Matthews had 3.5 sacks and four hits on Cutler, who threw four interceptions in addition to being sacked seven times.

The Packers had a +17.1 advantage in The Trench Counter, averaging more than twice as many yards per pass, eight more first downs and a +2 in turnover differential. Green Bay also had a +17 advantage in total completions/receptions.

Aaron Rodgers, however, was far from his frequently perfect 2011 self. Rodgers went 22-for-32 for 219 yards, one touchdown to Donald Driver and an interception when James Jones took a bad route. The Bears also sacked Rodgers five times.

The Packers scored their first touchdown of the game on a fake field goal when placeholder Tim Masthay found Tom Crabtree on a shovel pass.

Beyond the return of Matthews to his 2010 form, the biggest development for the Packers was the emergence of Cedric Benson. After being stifled in Week 1 against the 49ers, Benson ran the ball 20 times for 81 yards.

Matt Forte rushed seven times for 31 yards and caught four balls for 49 yards before exiting with a leg injury.

Cutler struggled and was often visibly frustrated, though a brilliant pass to the corner of the end zone that was dropped by Brandon Marshall was one he seemed to shake off.
