Jim Fassel has reportedly sent a letter to Raiders owner Al Davis expressing his desire to coach the team. Fassel last worked as offensive coordinator of the Ravens from 2003 to 2006. He was head coach of the Giants from 1997 until the team fired him after the 2003 season.
