Giants co-owner John Mara yesterday reiterated the team stance that there is no room for any negotiation of Michael Strahan's salary, which is $4 million for this season. "He's under contract and I think you all know what our position is on that," Mara said. "We can't beg him to come back." Mara said he believes Strahan, who has held out of training camp and is said to be contemplating retirement, in time will decide to return rather than retire. "Well, I don't think any of us are that troubled by it, to be honest with you," Mara said. "We'd like to have him in, if he decides to come in that's great, we'll be a better team with him here. If he doesn't, then you just move on."
