The Las Vegas Raiders have agreed to sign Gardner Minshew on a two-year, $25 million deal with $15 million in guaranteed money. Minshew will compete for the starting job with Aidan O'Connell.

The deal likely puts the Raiders out of the running to trade for Justin Fields, but they could select a quarterback in the draft.

Minshew parlayed a one-year deal worth less than $3 million into a strong season for the Indianapolis Colts, starting 13 games in place of injured starter Anthony Richardson and throwing for 15 touchdowns and a career-high 3,305 yards.
