Washington secured a wild 37-31 win over Texas in the College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Allstate Sugar Bowl on Monday night.

The Huskies will play Michigan in the CFP National Championship game on Jan. 8 in Houston for Washington's first national title opportunity since 1991.

Michael Penix, Jr. threw for 430 yards -- the fourth-best passing game in CFP history. He was the runner-up for the Heisman trophy.
