Chase Claypool is in jeopardy of being inactive Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after a lackluster Week 1 performance for the Chicago Bears.

Claypool was targeted twice by Justin Fields, and both passes resulted in incompletions. More notably, he missed a number of blocking assignments and video showed an apparent lack of effort on the wide receiver's part.

"You all saw the plays that ... and again, the perimeter blocking needed to improve for all of us," Matt Eberflus said. "And we're gonna get that, work hard to get that done."

Claypool practiced without limitations during the two weeks leading up to the game after injuring his hamstring in early August.

Eberflus said that Claypool had "displayed good technique in practice" on his blocking, which is why coaches put him in position to do so in Week 1.
