Jahmyr Gibbs admitted to being "shocked" when the Detroit Lions drafted him with the 12th overall pick on Thursday night.

"Yeah, I thought like in the 20s because that's where it is usually for running backs," said Gibbs, who was the second running back taken after Bijan Robinson.

Earlier in the draft, the Lions traded the sixth overall pick to the Arizona Cardinals for picks Nos. 12 and 34.

"We've kind of put Jahmyr in his own separate box and just got really excited about the player," general manager Brad Holmes said.
