Darren McFadden is ready to compete with first-round pick Ezekiel Elliott for carries with the Dallas Cowboys.

"They picked him high, he's going to play and get his touches," McFadden said. "I know what that's like. But there's a role for all of us. We're not afraid of competition and I know he'll bring out the best in us and we'll bring out the best in him."

McFadden finished fourth in the NFL with 1,089 rushing yards last season.

The Cowboys also signed Alfred Morris this offseason, but he figures to sit third on the depth chart.
