Matthew Stafford had an injury-prone label early in his career when he missed 19 of his first 32 games with the Detroit Lions.

But Stafford has now made 40 consecutive starts at quarterback.

Stafford has remained in the lineup despite finger, hamstring and knee injuries in recent seasons.

"That speaks volumes to me," center Dominic Raiola said. "I have a lot of respect for guys who are able to stay on the field that much, because it's not easy to stay on the field. It means you're doing the right things, you're in shape, you're getting treatment. And on top of all that, you're tough as hell."
