Brandon O'Brien, a long-shot draft prospect this month, has decided to forgo the NFL Draft in favor of reenlisting in the Marines following the bombing at the Boston Marathon earlier this week.

O'Brien, a 30-year-old wide receiver, had an excellent career in the Frontier Conference at Montana State Northern University.

"He said watching what happened [Monday] left him with a big hole in his heart and told me he wants to ensure that this never happens again to anybody, anywhere. The kid is a real hero," O'Brien's agent, Brad Berkowitz, said.
