Joe Vitt was not happy with the way the Saints played in their 27-24 preseason loss to the Jaguars on Friday night.

New Orleans had hoped they would operate smoothly in their third preseason game, but they submitted a sloppy performance.

"We were disappointed in the way we tackled at the start of this game," Vitt, the team's interim coach, said. "We've got to protect Drew [Brees] better."

Despite Vitt's concern about protecting Brees, as he finished the game with 133 yards and a touchdown on 10-for-13 passing.
