According to a league source, Tyson Jackson recently took a pay cut to remain with Kansas City. The defensive lineman voided his 2014 contract with the prospect that he could hit the open market as soon as 2013. Jackson was set to make over $8 million in 2012; now he will make $4.25 million in base salary, with $4 million guaranteed. The third overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft, he carries a $14.72 million salary in 2013 -- which would either be restructured or he simply would be let go.
