Brandon Lloyd, acquired in a trade last month to bolster the Washington Redskins receiving corps, signed a long-term contract extension with the team yesterday. The Redskins on March 12 sent a third-round pick in this year's draft and a fourth-round selection in 2007 to the San Francisco 49ers for Lloyd, who had been tendered as a restricted free agent. Lloyd had been slated to make $1.57 million this year, but Washington soon began negotiations for a multiyear contract. Terms of the new deal were not available.
