Peyton Manning is just the third quarterback since 1970 to start a season with four straight 300-yard performances. He was nearly perfect in the first half, going 17-for-20 with 220 yards, two touchdown passes and a 145.8 quarterback rating. The Colts went on to defeat the Seahawks 34-17 in Indianapolis. Manning joined Dan Marino as the only quarterbacks in NFL history to throw 55 touchdown passes to two different receivers after he connected with Reggie Wayne in the first half. His second touchdown pass, to rookie Austin Collie, was the 342nd of his career, tying him with Fran Tarkenton for No. 3 on the NFL's all-time list.
