There's a long list of pro football players who went into pro wrestling because of career-ending injuries or age. But a short list of those went into it because they were sitting out a season. Add suspended Tennessee Titans cornerback Adam (Pacman) Jones to that short list. With some details still to be worked out, TNA is on the verge of signing Jones to a contract. The man rumored to be responsible is Jeff Jarrett, who has close ties with the team thanks to TNA (which is based in Nashville) and the Titans sharing the same city. Evidence of this relationship was seen when former Titans TE Frank Wycheck and current DE Kyle Vanden Bosch both wrestled in June's "Slammerversary" event. When Pacman officially signs, his agent Michael Huyghue said Jones will not "get into the ring" or be portrayed as "a bad guy." His attorney, Worrick Robinson, added that Titans brass is content with Jones keeping busy until his football status is resolved. He then added: "There are other things he could do (in TNA) other than wrestle."
