Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew believes that the team went above-and-beyond what he was looking for in a new contract.
The team signed Jones-Drew to a four-year, $31-million deal with $17.5 million guaranteed on Wednesday.
"The Jaguars really didn't have to do this," said Jones-Drew. "Obviously, they wanted to. They felt that way about me, and I'm very thankful for that. [The extension is] not going to change anything. I still love the game. I'm going to play the same way I've played."
