The players listed below are likely to be found on the waiver wire in all standard fantasy leagues. Week 7 has the following teams on byes: New Orleans Saints, Oakland Raiders.

Quarterbacks

- Nick Foles (all formats)

As I wrote last week, I believe Foles will beat out Michael Vick for the starting quarterback job of the Eagles. He threw for 296 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions, and ran for a score as well. The haters will say that Foles did all this against a terrible team but Tampa Bay’s defense is keeping them in almost all their games. He is a great bye week fill in for Drew Brees especially with the Eagles playing the Cowboys who have given up the most fantasy points to quarterbacks in the league (currently owned in 13 percent of Yahoo! Leagues!).

Running backs

- Brandon Jacobs (all formats)

Is it 2008? Jacobs looked like his former self on Thursday night while rushing for 106 yards and two touchdowns against a pretty good Bears defense. For the time being it appears he is the lead rusher for the Giants until David Wilson or Andre Brown come back from injury. Wilson will be out for at least a month so look for Jacobs to continue to get a high number of touches and could be a viable flex play option for fantasy owners (currently owned in 25 percent of Yahoo! leagues).

- Joseph Randle (deeper formats)

The only guarantees in life are death, taxes and Demarco Murray getting hurt. It seems like every year he gets hit by the injury bug so pick up Joseph Randle who is assumed to take the starting running back role until Murray gets healthy. However, don’t expect too much from Randle since he didn’t exactly light it up last week. Randle can be solid bye week fill in for fantasy owners based on touches and Dallas’s offense (currently owned in 11 percent of Yahoo! leagues).

Wide Receivers

- Keenan Allen (all formats)

Last week I wrote that Vincent Brown was the must add Chargers' wide receiver in my column, but after watching the Chargers game it is clear that Allen has become the go-to guy for Philip Rivers. The first year wide receiver out of Cal had nine catches for 107 yards and one touchdown in their win over the Colts on Monday Night. Allen is still available in over 60 percent of Yahoo! Leagues so make him a priority to get this week if you need wide receiver depth. Also, they play the Jaguars this week so he is a great plug and play option for teams who need bye week fill in.

- Jarret Boykin (deeper leagues)

Randle Cobb will be out at least eight weeks with a fractured fibula which opens the door for Boykin to be a fantasy contributor for significant portion of this season. In addition, James Jones is questionable to play against the Browns this week so all wide receiver needy owners (Cobb, Julio Jones owners) need to add Boykin if they missed out on Harry Douglas last week. Boykin is available in over 99 percent of Yahoo! leagues so grab him before other teams do.

Tight End

- Joseph Fauria (very deep leagues)

This season Fauria has five touchdowns off seven catches, which is one of the greatest catch to touchdown ratios I have ever seen. The downside to this ratio is that he is not getting a high volume of targets and either gives you good fantasy numbers or a goose egg. If you are desperate for tight end and need a high upside option look for Fauria in deeper leagues (currently owned in 4 percent of Yahoo! Leagues)

Defense

- Miami (bye week fill in)

The Miami Dolphins play the Buffalo Bills this week, a team that has been devastated by injury at the quarterback position this season. E.J. Manuel is still a few weeks away from playing and Thad Lewis got banged up in last week’s game, which could leave the Bills with Jeff Tuel or Matt Flynn who just got signed off the street. All those quarterback options don’t exactly strike fear in defense coordinators so add the Dolphins if you looking for a solid match up play this week. If you miss out on Miami, pick up San Diego’s defense since they play the Jaguars.
