Jets 34, New England 31 (OT) Team Trench Counter: Patriots +4.9, Jets -4.9 Matt Cassel found Randy Moss in the corner of the end zone with just one second left in the fourth quarter to tie the game, but the Jets (7-3) outlasted the Patriots (6-4) in overtime on Jay Feely?s 34-yard field goal. Brett Favre went 26-for-33 with 258 yards and two touchdowns, and Thomas Jones starred with 104 rushing yards and a score. Jerricho Cotchery caught five passes for 87 yards and a touchdown. Wes Welker, who continues to be among the NFL?s leaders in receptions, caught seven passes for 108 yards in the loss. New England?s defense, which as struggled at times throughout the season, couldn?t stop New York, who won the toss in overtime, from charging down the field en route to the game-winning field goal. Tampa Bay 19, Minnesota 13 Team Trench Counter: Buccaneers +8.8, Vikings -8.8 The Buccaneers (7-3) scored 13 unanswered points to knock off the Vikings (5-5) at Raymond James Stadium on Sunday. Askew?s 1-yard touchdown run in the third quarter was Tampa Bay?s only touchdown, as Matt Bryant kicked four field goals in the win. Gus Frerotte went 14-for-20 with 138 yards and a touchdown, while Adrian Peterson rushed for 85 yards on ninety carries. Bernard Berrian led the Vikings in receiving with three catches for 46 yards, and Bobby Wade scored the team?s only touchdown on a 4-yard connection with Frerotte in the beginning of the second quarter. After Ryan Longwell hit a 37-yard field goal at the 1:47 mark of the second quarter, Minnesota failed to put any points on the board for the remember of the game. N.Y. Giants 30, Baltimore 10 Team Trench Counter: Giants +11, Ravens -11 The Giants (9-1) used a strong defensive effort to defeat the Ravens (6-4) on Sunday. Ray Rice, Willis McGahee and Le?Ron McClain combined to rush for just 47 yards on nineteen attempts. Derrick Mason, Flacco?s favorite target, caught seven passes for 82 yards in the loss. Miami 17, Oakland 15 Team Trench Counter: Dolphins +9.6, Raiders -9.6 The Dolphins (6-4) withstood a late rally by the Raiders (2-8) to hold on for a close victory. Ronald Curry had six receptions for 73 yards in the loss, with Javon Walker officially out for the season because of an ankle injury. The win, Miami?s fourth-straight, moved them into a tie with New England for second place in the competitive AFC East. New Orleans 30, Kansas City 20 Team Trench Counter: Saints +4.7, Chiefs -4.7 The Chiefs (1-9) made things close at the end, but the Saints (5-5) still held on for an important win as the playoff race tightens in the NFC. Ahman Green didn?t gain as many yards (17 on nine attempts), but he reached the end zone twice against the Colts? suspect rushing defense. Green Bay 37, Chicago 3 Team Trench Counter: Packers +16.7, Bears -16.7 The Packers (5-5) held the Bears (5-5) in check offensively to move into a tie at the top of the NFC North. Aaron Rodgers attacked Chicago?s secondary, going 23-for-30 with 227 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. Ryan Grant continued to emerge from an early-season slump, tallying 145 yards and a touchdown against the Bears usually stifling defense. Rodgers hooked up with nine different receivers, with Greg Jennings (64 yards and a touchdown) leading the way. Kyle Orton and Rex Grossman combined to go 17-for-33 with 159 yards in the loss as the Green Bay defense was aggressive all afternoon long. Rookie Matt Forte had 104 total yards, but wasn?t able to find the end zone as the Bears settled for just a field goal at Lambeau Field. Stewart had 130 yards and a touchdown and Williams added 120 yards and two scores in the victory. Not much was asked of Jake Delhomme, who went 10-for-19 with 98 yards and a touchdown, because of their strong performance on the ground. The Carolina defense also pestered Detroit all game long, forcing four turnovers. Daunte Culpepper went 20-for-35 with 207 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. Rookie Kevin Smith rushed for 112 yards on twenty-four carries, and Culpepper added 13 yards and a score. Matt Hasselbeck, starting for the first time in six weeks because of a bad back, went 17-for-29 with one touchdown and three costly interceptions. Seattle couldn?t muster much on the ground, rushing for a total of 43 yards on twenty-two carries. Two fourth quarter rushing touchdowns by T.J. Duckett brought the Seahawks to within striking distance, but Hasselbeck?s third interception ended the team?s chance to upend the favored Cardinals. San Francisco 35, St. Louis 13 Team Trench Counter: 49ers +7.9, Rams -7.9 Shaun Hill and Frank Gore starred for the 49ers (3-7) as they defeated the Rams (2-8) in a battle between two of the NFL?s worst teams. Pittsburgh 11, San Diego 10 Team Trench Counter: Steelers +3.4, Chargers -3.4 The Steelers (7-3) came back to beat the Chargers (4-6) on Sunday thanks to a strong drive late in the fourth quarter that culminated in Jeff Reed?s game-winning 32-yard field goal. Tennessee 24, Jacksonville 14 Team Trench Counter: Titans +8.2, Jaguars -8.2 The Jaguars (4-6) rushed out to a 14-3 lead, but the Titans (10-0) methodically took over in the second half to keep their perfect record intact. Wide receiver Justin Gage had a career day for Tennessee, catching four passes for 147 yards and two scores against the Jaguars.
