LaVar Arrington was more severely injured in his June 19 motorcycle accident than his agent and attorney let on. Agent Carl Poston and attorney Rosalyn Pugh had said the former Washington Redskins star suffered a fractured right forearm and lacerations to his legs and other arm. But Arrington also sustained a broken wrist. The three-time Pro Bowl linebacker also reportedly is suffering from an infection that developed in the lacerations as well as a torn tendon and a carpal tunnel-like condition in his right wrist. So Arrington remained at Prince George's Hospital Center yesterday, nine days after the accident took place on the ramp from Route 50 to the Beltway. In contrast, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was hospitalized for just two days after suffering multiple facial fractures and a broken nose in a motorcycle accident last June. And Arrington, unlike Roethlisberger, was wearing a helmet.
