The Cleveland Browns have no plans to release Baker Mayfield, even if he remains on the roster at the start of training camp, according to a report.

The Browns have been unable to find a trade partner for the quarterback after landing Deshaun Watson from the Houston Texans and signing him to a huge contract.

Releasing Mayfield outright wouldn't save Cleveland any of the 18.58 million he is due on his guaranteed fifth-year option.
