The Green Bay Packers have agreed to make Jaire Alexander the league's highest-paid defensive back.

The All-Pro cornerback will receive a $30 million signing bonus as part of a new four-year, $84 million contract.

Alexander's new deal averages $21 million per year, a new record for defensive backs.

He had previously been tied to the Packers for only this season on the fifth-year option to his rookie contract.
