The Tennessee Titans are closing in on a deal to build a new domed stadium in Nashville.

The stadium would open by 2026 and cost up to $2.2 billion.

The facility would be funded by state and local taxpayer dollars, with the former coming in the form of bonds and the latter potentially financed by a hotel/motel tax. The Titans and the NFL would contribute approximately $750 million.

If a stadium is built, Nashville would almost certainly host at least one Super Bowl.
