Atlanta Falcons general manager Terry Fontenot says there is no update on the status of Calvin Ridley, who missed the final 11 games of the season while taking time off to address his mental health issues.

"It really hasn't changed," Fontenot said of the wide receiver's status. "As an organization, we've done the best job we could just to support Calvin and do everything we can for him."

Ridley played in the first four games of the season before missing a contest for what the team termed personal reasons. He returned to play in Week 7, but released a statement after the game saying he was stepping away to focus on his mental health.

"No, I wouldn't assume anything," Fontenot said when asked if that means the Falcons are planning to be without Ridley next season. "Like I said, we handle each situation individually. There are so many variables we deal with. We're going to try to add to every position this offseason."
