A Tom Brady rookie card sold for $3.107 million at the Lelands Mid-Spring Classic Auction on Friday, marking the most ever paid for a football card in public auction.

The price tops the record of $2.25 million, set just two months ago, when another Brady rookie card was sold by Lelands.

The Brady card that sold for $3.107 million is a 2000 Playoff Contenders Championship Rookie Ticket Autograph edition.
