Joe Mixon is coming off back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons, but could cede some snaps to Gio Bernard this season.

Mixon will continue to be the No. 1 running back for the Cincinnati Bengals, but Bernard could have a larger role in the passing game moving forward.

"This is my bold prediction. Giovanni Bernard is going to take a lot of those receptions from Joe Mixon," Tyler Dragon of the Cincinnati Enquirer said. "He is going to be involved in the pass game, especially in those third-down situations. They view Joe Mixon as an every down running back, but he is going to get the lion's share of the carries in the backfield. And then when you have those third-and-longs and those passing situations, I expect Giovanni Bernard to be on the field."

Mixon has 78 receptions over the last two years, while Bernard totaled 65 receptions over the same span.
