Most people around the NFL believe Roger Goodell will retire as commissioner after the negotiation of the next collective bargaining agreement and television deals, reports Peter King of NBC Sports.

The new CBA is unlikely to be finalized until 2021 while the new television deal will likely be reached in 2022.

Goodell has kept a low profile through the 2019 season.

"Other than a press availability for a few minutes at the NFL fall meetings in Florida last month, has anyone seen Roger Goodell?" writes King. "Anywhere? Odd, considering this is a year when I thought the league would be celebrating its 100th. That, too, has been mostly invisible."
