The Pittsburgh Steelers have been fined for not accurately listing Ben Roethlisberger on their injury report ahead of their Week 2 game against the Seattle Seahawks. The Steelers have been fined $75,000 as a franchise while Mike Tomlin received a $25,000 fine.

Roethlisberger was only listed on the report that week as not practicing Wednesday for reasons that were "not injury related." The Steelers typically gave Roethlisberger that day off. He fully practiced Thursday and Friday.

Roethlisberger exited the Seahawks game before halftime with a non-contact elbow injury and subsequently had season-ending elbow surgery.

Some of Roethlisberger's teammates said afterwards that they had heard he was dealing with elbow issues prior to the game.
