Mike Tomlin, Todd Bowles and Eric Bieniemy are three possible candidates for Washington's head coaching vacancy, according to a source close to Dan Snyder who is familiar with his thinking at the moment.

Washington fired Jay Gruden on Monday following a 0-5 start to the season.

Tomlin has been head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers since 2007.

Bowles was previously head coach of the New York Jets and is currently defensive coordinator of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Bieniemy is offensive coordinator of the Kansas City Chiefs.
