The NFL has officially set the salary cap for the 2019 season at $188.2 million.

The cap has risen approximately 6.2 percent on last season's mark of $177.2 million.

The cap had previously risen 6.1 percent from the 2017 season to 2018.

The NFL experienced cap spikes of 8.1 percent, 7.7 percent, 8.4 percent and 7.6 percent before these past two seasons.
