The Atlanta Falcons are not exercising Matt Bryant's option for next season, making the 43-year-old kicker a free agent on March 13.

Bryant had two years and $7 million left on his contract. He was due to make $3.5 million next season. Parting ways with him saves the Falcons $2.8 million against the salary cap.

"I am extremely grateful for everything that Matt Bryant has done for this organization over the last 10 years," general manager Thomas Dimitroff said in a statement.
