The Pittsburgh Steelers have ruled out James Conner for this Sunday's game against the Oakland Raiders.

Conner left this past Sunday's loss to the Los Angeles Chargers with a leg injury.

"James Conner's injury is probably a little more significant than we initially thought," Mike Tomlin said. "I don't know if you would describe it as a high-ankle sprain. It is an ankle sprain, much more than a contusion initially thought to be."

Jaylen Samuels will likely lead Pittsburgh's rushing attack with Conner sidelined. Stevan Ridley and Trey Edmunds could also see increased work.
