The Los Angeles Rams attempted to trade for Khalil Mack before he was eventually dealt to the Chicago Bears. The Rams planned to sign Mack and then trade him in the 2019 offseason.

The Rams offered a first round pick and third round pick to the Oakland Raiders for Mack.

The idea was to match Mack with Donald, Ndamukong Suh and Michael Brockers to go all-in for the 2018 season.

Chicago signed signed Mack to a record six-year, $141 million deal.
