Adrian Peterson was productive in his debut for the Washington Redskins on Sunday.

Peterson rushed for 96 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries. The score was the 100th of his career.

He is now tied with Marshall Faulk and Shaun Alexander for seventh on the all-time rushing TD list.

"It means a lot," Peterson said. "I have a lot of support that keeps me going, keeps me motivated. Not only do I do it for myself and my family, but I do it for my fan base as well."

Peterson also had 70 receiving yards in Washington's 24-6 win over the Arizona Cardinals.
