After spending two years at safety, Byron Jones says he's moving back to cornerback for the Dallas Cowboys.

Jones flashed potential as a free safety in 2016, but regressed last season when forced to play closer to the line of scrimmage as a strong safety.

The Cowboys drafted Jones in the first round of the 2015 draft.

"I think it'll be a good move for me and the team," Jones said. "It's been something that as soon as [former Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Kris Richard] came in that's what he was talking about, he wanted to move me to corner. So we had a discussion and he made the move."
