The Green Bay Packers have full confidence in Ted Thompson as their general manager.

Packers president and CEO Mark Murphy fully backed Thompson, 64, on Wednesday.

"Ted and I, we have a great relationship," Murphy said. "As long as he wants to continue to work, and he's still doing a good job -- and I think he still does a great job for us -- we want him to continue to be our general manager. At a point he decides he doesn't want to do it anymore for whatever reason, then we would do a search."

Thompson has headed the Green Bay front office for the past 12 years, but fans have critiqued him for largely ignoring free agency in favor of building through the draft.
