The Los Angeles Chargers have agreed upon a four-year, $66 million deal with Melvin Ingram.

Ingram's deal contains $42 million in guaranteed money.

The Chargers put the franchise tag on Ingram in February and maintained that the goal was to sign a long-term deal.

With 18.5 sacks over the past two seasons, Ingram is tied for 12th in the NFL over that time period.

Under new defensive coordinator Gus Bradley, the Chargers changed from a 3-4 alignment to a 4-3 scheme.
