Ty Montgomery is embracing a full-time role as a running back with the Green Bay Packers.

Montgomery was drafted as a wide receiver in 2015, but moved to running back last season in part because of injuries to Green Bay's backs.

"Do I want to play in the NFL for a longer period of time and not be as happy because I'm not having the amount of success that I'd like to have?" Montgomery said. "And if running back gives me that, then I'd rather play [6 to 8] years in the league ... having a successful career and having a lot of fun doing it and not always battling to be somebody's fourth, fifth or sixth receiver, even if it meant a [10 to 12-] year career."
