The Minnesota Vikings have ruled out re-signing Adrian Peterson.
The Vikings signed Latavius Murray to a three-year, $15 million deal this week.
Rick Spielman said he texted Peterson at 1 a.m. on Thursday morning and informed him of the Murray deal.
"With us signing Murray, Adrian will move on elsewhere," Spielman said on a conference call with reporters.
Peterson became a free agent when the Vikings declined their $18 million option on his contract.
Peterson has met with the Seahawks but they signed Eddie Lacy. Peterson also has interest in the Raiders.
