Josh McDaniels, Sean McDermott and Harold Goodwin are considered the three most probable candidates to get a head coaching job next offseason.

McDaniels previously was a head coach with the Denver Broncos at the age of 33. By all accounts McDaniels has matured considerably now that he's 40 and has been considered a top-5 candidate each of the past three seasons. McDaniels has a high level of comfort remaining as offensive coordinator of the Patriots.

McDermott is currently defensive coordinator of the Carolina Panthers. McDermott probably would have been hired as a head coach last offseason if not for the Panthers reaching the Super Bowl, which made it difficult for him to interview.

Goodwin is the Arizona Cardinals' 43-year-old offensive coordinator who has helped establish their scheme.

Paul Guenther, Anthony Lynn, Matt Patricia and Jim Schwartz are in the next tier of possibly head coaches.
