J.J. Watt has been named the 2015 Defensive Player of the Year, the third of his career.

"I was a 2-star recruit coming out and now I have three (Defensive Player of the Year) awards," Watt said after accepting the award. "So ... screw all of you guys for doubting me."

Watt received 37 votes, beating out Aaron Donald (7) and Luke Kuechly (4).

Watt joined Lawrence Taylor as the only players to win the award three times.
