Earl Thomas is in favor of Richard Sherman lining up against the opposing team's best wide receiver, regardless of which side of the field he's on.

Sherman is expected to do so this Sunday against Richard Sherman.

"Of course," Earl Thomas said when asked if he supports the strategy. "Both hands up.

"I think the big thing about that is it’s a clear conscience for me when he’s moving around and he’s following a No. 1 guy. That’s all I can say about that. I don’t have to worry about the No. 1 guy."

Sherman has been traveling more this year. He matched up with Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green for three-plus quarters. And last week against the San Francisco 49ers, he stuck with Torrey Smith and held him without a catch.
