Jason Garrett referenced a well-known fable in talking about how the Dallas Cowboys call their offensive plays.

“You’re always trying to play the game on your own terms and dictate things, but then you have to be flexible enough to do the things that are available to you,” Garrett said. “It’s like the oak and the willow. You’ve got to have a lot of oak in there, but you’ve got to have a lot of willow in there, too.”
