The likelihood of the Broncos placing their franchise tag on Ryan Clady next offseason is increasing. Contract negotiations between Denver and the All-Pro left tackle have hit a snag. The two sides recently exchanged multiyear proposals but the numbers were far enough apart that an NFL source said an extension by the time the team is to report to training camp next Wednesday does not seem likely. Clady is scheduled to make $3.5 million this season in the final year of his rookie contract.
