Seahawks wide receiver Sidney Rice has undergone shoulder surgery, according to The Seattle Times. The injury limited him at the beginning of the 2011 season. It remains unclear why it took so long for Rice to go under the knife. "Some time ago, we knew he was going to have surgery," head coach Pete Carroll said. "We just put it off to this date. I don't know exactly why it was put it off to this date." Rice didn't play in the final five games of the season because of head injuries.
