There have not been any recent talks between the Packers and tight end Jermichael Finley on a long-term contract, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.
It is appearing more and more likely that the Packers will place the franchise tag on Finley.
The tight end is in the final year of his contract, which pays him $1.2 million this season. Finley told the newspaper that no progress have been made on a new deal.
"If they do, it's something I've got to work through and talk it out," Finley said of the franchise tag.
